TRIVIA TIME
Hey there you souciant (and no, I don’t mean insouciant, I mean souciant, because that’s what you are) cineaste-holes and scrutable (don’t flatter yourselves, you’re totally scrutable) audiophiles, the 2012 Sound + Vision Fest takes over Hollywood Theatre this weekend, and we’ve got six passes to this carefully curated journey into, um, sound and vision to give away.
Peep the deets below and answer the following trivia question to win a pass to this splendid weekend-long shindig. Thanks for playing!
Have at it:
Experimental film pioneer Stan Brakhage’s Mothlight is a favorite film school punchline–at least it was when this writer whiled his best years away dithering over Godard’s diarrhea–but the dearly departed celluloid alchemist’s most vital connection to Western culture might be the probably coincidental fact that one of his great works happens to share some very evocative language with a certain movie star’s horrible musical side project’s horrendous band name. And so I ask: can you name that band? And if so: why? Get a fucking job. And if you can’t name that band, you probably went to school to study something useful and lucrative, so you have a job, and you don’t need any free tickets, so scram. Wait, do you have five bucks I can borrow?
