in a recent comment on my Giant Pumpkin Regatta entry, Kristin Posehn brings this video of the Vegetable Orchestra to my attention:
excellent points as usual, dad. i'd like to think that at the conclusion of each show they have a party and make a giant pot of veggie soup. but then again, they are from austria, so there's really no telling what they might do.

This is terrific... the richness of the sound is a sure indication that these are organic veggies. After the performance, do they just eat their instruments and make new ones before the next performance? And, would you get a more balanced sound if you got this group together with the Famous Live Seafood folks? I'll bet you could get some great sounds from an octopus, and more omega 3.
